    Our Company collects the following data: Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, age, gender and personal dating preferences) The lawful bases for processing are set out in Article 6 of the UK GDPR. Edudate acts on the following lawful basis: (a) Consent: the individual has given clear consent for edudate to process their personal data for a specific purpose.

  • How is data exchanged between users on Edudate?
    By completing the registration form on Edudate, the user agrees that the following information will be shared in the private user spaces on the Edudate website: profile picture, age, location and 'about me' input. The following information is not shared: email, phone number. When a user sends a message to another user via the instant messaging function, the user consents to sharing the relevant dater that they themselves have entered with that user. The message is only shared with that particular user via a copy of the form submitted by the user. All users agree that when recieving data via Edudate, they are not permitted to share any data at any stage without the consent of Edudate.
  • How do we store your data?
    Edudate securely stores your data in encrypted and protected cloud based storage. Edudate will keep your personal identification information for 24 months. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by removing all data on our database relating to you.
  • Marketing
    Our Company would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like. If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date. You have the right at any time to stop Edudate from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please click here.
  • What are your data protection rights?
    Edudate would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following: The right to access – You have the right to request Edudate for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service. The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Edudate correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Edudate to complete the information you believe is incomplete. The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Edudate erase your personal data, under certain conditions. The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Edudate restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions. The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Edudates processing of your personal data, under certain conditions. The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Edudate transfer the data that we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.   • Additional Terms and Conditions
    Edudate does not guarantee any number of dates or that members will reply to messages that are sent to them. Any messages, communications or meet ups beyond the Edudate platform are the users responsibility. Priority members can contact edudate help and support here. We aim to reply within 48 hours to all messages. If a cancellation request is made and a payment is taken in the interim, that payment will be refunded in full to the edudate member. ​ Edudate reserves the right to remove you from the Edudate database at any point. Users can report any concern to Edudate here. By signing up to Edudate, you confirm that you are teacher and/or work in education. When you sign up, we may ask for further verification of your account. Verification may mean a request for a photo copy of your institution ID. We only share data with verified members. Verification is carried out via a) social media URL required on sign up b) payment verification (if applicable for priority membership). No names, emails or phone numbers will be shared via open databases. Individual locations have been further anonymised. You can opt to remove yourself from the database at any point by contacting us on the website. Any contact made between, during or after your date(s) is not Edudates responsibility. Any data you send to us you do so at your own discretion - twitter, facebook and other social media sites have their own encryption policies and safeguards. We take all enhanced precautions to protect all our social media accounts and will publish protective steps we take regularly. We may contact you at any time through email, social media or by text to provide you Edudate information or alert you to future edudate events. You can opt out of this at any time by contacting us via the website contact form. Your phone number and other information will never be shared with third parties. You can contact us to remove your data from file at any point. We will hold all data for 24 months before it is removed from the database/destroyed. GDPR Policy: We will process all personal data fairly and lawfully / We will only process personal data for specified and lawful purposes / We will endeavour to hold relevant and accurate personal data, and where practical, we will keep it up to date / we will not keep personal data for longer than is necessary and will delete any personal data on request, including any information sent via social media channels / We will keep all personal data secure / we are and will continue to look at ways of improving our systems and procedures to better comply with GDPR best practice.
